Barbara Davis says that Comeleon software has helped save time and increased efficiency for her company. Davis works at Quality Craft, an importing company of home renovation flooring and other products for do-it-yourself home improvements.

With the customized software, the company enters the order into the computer without a lot of unnecessary steps in between. And that's created a more efficient system for Quality Craft that operates as a direct service and does not require a lot of inventory, Davis said. "We've gained 30 percent more time in handling more volume and sales have gone up. We've opened to new markets and new sales areas," Davis said.

"As volume increased and steps improved, the time spent checking is saved in proofreading and entering the data. You always have to check your work whenever you enter numbers," Davis said.

The Challenge:

The program Quality Craft were using before was not as "order friendly." They had to enter their customers' data four times into the computer to input the order and get an invoice. Davis adds, "I would have to say it was exciting to get (Comeleon). The other (software) was limited and there was no change ahead for improvement. We didn't have the freedom to utilize the computer in looking at real files and at product lists."

The Solution:

Comeleon has created unique features for Quality Craft that enables them to track their costs to a fourth decimal, says Davis.

"(Comeleon) customized our program and the costing part of the process. We're a company that keeps our costs as low as possible as a wholesaler," Davis said. "In order to keep the costs as low as we can for our customers, we need our costs to be accurate, to keep it down."

"This program was customized for our sales and not many businesses do that. There may not be as many software capable of doing that," said Davis.

She's now able to look at a customer's history "without looking at a hunk of paper all the time."

With Comeleon, they also have display capability with sales, accounts receivable and accounts payable. "The way the information is linked in this program is reliable," Davis says.

"The way the display of the program is extremely user-friendly. We can create a report on the screen with the exact date and customer name. The flexibility of it is really useful, it's such a good feature."
